I am not doing a Wednesday Video this week… I am knee deep in workshop development and I am so excited to be bringing you TWO new workshops in March and April. But you know how things like this go… anything can happen so I can’t say too much right now. But I am working and creative and I think it’s the best therapy. 🙂 When one lands on a journey that is so very painful, one can choose to look at the pain or you can choose to see the silver linings and little blessing along the way. I am definitely choosing the latter. I am journeying deep into my heart and doing the work required to mine the diamonds within. It’s hard but so worth it. I read the Word more than ever and just that alone is a great reward. Verses like Heb 13: 5 takes on new meaning. Psalm 27:8. Matt 7: 25. Isa 43: 18+19. Matt 11:28-30. And so many many more. This is my meditation: Psalm 30: 11 You have turned my mourning into dancing for me; You have put off my sackcloth and girded me with gladness, 12 To the end that my tongue and my heart and everything glorious within me may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
Quotes like these have been like rain on my heart: “There is no companion so companionable as Solitude. Listen attentively. Wait expectantly. You need enough breathing space to allow your heart to ponder what is precious. If you go deep enough, often enough, something good is bound to come back to you” — From Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach
And yes, creativity is keeping my soul alive! I want to share with you today the progression of a painting. It’s my Psalm for this year: Psalm 16. The photos is not good at all. I painted in the evening and it never photographs well… but you can still see how the painting progressed. It’s hanging above my bed and it’s much prettier in real life.
Lastly Listen to this song. Soak it in:
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
Love you and Bless you today!
