Hello, my friends! Saskatchewan is so cold right now, I wish I could just hibernate! We have had a cold spell that is simply not going away… and I decided to make it work for me and painted a few paintings. I am slowly and steadily discovering my voice with painting and I am loving the process so much. This painting is over two canvases and I painted Psalm 16 again. I discovered the Passion Translation the last month and fell in love with it… click the link and read the whole Psalm… this part really struck me: I leave my destiny and it’s timing in your hands.
Apart from my work, I hope that 2018 is a highly creative year for me. I would love to really do more art journal pages as I realize how much my Art Journal work show up in my paintings. I am still a firm believer that Art Journals are the perfect exercise in the creative flow. No creativity is ever wasted. I believe when you are creative (whether in flow or frustration) it goes into your escrow or creative vault and it will show up somewhere else. The other thing that we should remember is that even when you have artistic talent, it still takes time to master media and techniques. Mastery only comes when you keep at it for time. Time becomes your best friend when you love to make art. Time and work. No way around this. But this is only my own opinion and experience.
In short… happy new year! I hope we make beautiful art together this year!
